The Arizona Lottery was launched in November 1980, becoming the first state west of the Mississippi to provide a state lottery for residents. Lottery ticket sales in Arizona generate almost $4 million weekly, which benefits programs in the areas of higher education, environmental conservation, health and human services, and business and economic development.

Unlike most US states with a minimum age of 18, lottery players in Arizona must be at least 21 years old to purchase lottery tickets in the state. The most popular draw games offered are Pick 3, Fantasy 5, The Pick, Triple Twist, and the multi-state lotteries Powerball and Mega Millions. The Trio is a unique draw game launched in 2017, where players can purchase one Powerball, one Mega Millions, and one The Pick ticket for $5 per play.

How to Claim Prizes & Claim Centers

Arizona Lottery winners can claim prizes of up to $100 at any retailer, with many offering cash prizes of up to $599 to be redeemed. Prize claims from $1 up to $599 can also be submitted by mail by signing the ticket and mailing it to the Arizona Lottery at P.O. Box 2913, Phoenix, AZ 85062.  For prizes of $600 or more, a Winner Claim Form must also be completed and included with the signed ticket, along with a copy of a government-issued ID.    

Prizes over $600 can also be claimed in person by visiting any Phoenix or Tucson area Lottery office and submitting a Winner Claim Form and the signed winning ticket. Arizona Lottery winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes won by playing draw games and 180 days after the end date of each scratch game.  Tickets cannot be redeemed once they expire.
