Online lottery courier service Jackpot.com has announced the launch of its digital scratch ticket offering in three major U.S. markets: Massachusetts, Ohio, and Texas. The move marks a significant expansion for the company, allowing consumers in these states to play official state lottery scratch tickets on their phones, tablets, or computers.

With this expansion, Jackpot.com, which operates legally in six states, seeks to solidify its position in the lucrative U.S. lottery market, which generates over $100 billion annually. Notably, scratch tickets make up approximately two-thirds of that total, owing to their accessibility, higher price points, and potential prize payouts.

The company’s new digital scratchers offering is designed to enhance the player experience by providing a faster, more seamless process, especially when compared to traditional ticket purchasing methods. In expanding its digital reach, Jackpot.com is joining the growing market of accessible online scratch-off games.

The online scratch-off feature is similar to services provided by other lottery couriers. For instance, Lotto.com allows users to access digital scratch-off games in five states, including Colorado, Nebraska, Ohio, Oregon, and Texas. In Colorado, players can choose from 12 different scratch-off games, with several offering top prizes of $1 million.

Similarly, Jackpocket provides online scratch-off tickets in Colorado, Oregon, and Texas. Since launching its scratch-off services, the company claims to have awarded more than $50 million in prizes. In Texas, there are four available games, including the popular Loteria Supreme, which offers a grand prize of $7.5 million.

Scratch-offs continue to join the digital age

Massachusetts players will enjoy access to eight unique scratch ticket games through Jackpot.com’s platform, including the popular Lifetime Millions and an innovative new offering inspired by the iconic 1975 thriller Jaws. The state’s launch is particularly notable for introducing the nation’s first-ever Jaws instant ticket, which celebrates the upcoming 50th anniversary of the film’s release.

The Jaws scratch ticket presents players with an opportunity to win grand prizes of up to $1 million, as well as a unique “second chance drawing.” In this promotion, 30 lucky winners will be awarded a Jaws-themed trip for two to Martha’s Vineyard, the iconic location where the film was shot. Such themed promotions are expected to attract a broader audience, blending nostalgia with the potential for life-changing winnings. Full details on this promotion are available on Jackpot.com’s platform.

Ohio’s launch also includes eight scratch tickets, with a lineup that features some of the state’s most popular offerings: Billion ($50), Lady Luck ($20), and Golden Casino ($10). These games have long been favorites among Ohio’s scratch-off players, and their digital debut is expected to increase engagement among a younger, more tech-savvy audience.

Similarly, Texas players will have access to seven different scratch ticket options at launch, including the widely popular 500x and Jackpot Millions.

Addressing the challenges of online lottery play

Historically, one of the challenges for online lottery courier services like Jackpot.com has been the speed at which they can deliver tickets to players. A recent report by Eilers & Krejcik Gaming found that it could take anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes for couriers to fulfill scratch ticket orders.

However, the lottery courier’s new scratch-off technology aims to revolutionize the industry by offering the fastest online lottery scratch card experience available. Not only does it provide easy access to the games, but it, like the other lottery couriers, can instantly pay out winnings up to $600.

In addition, Jackpot.com has recently undergone a comprehensive business process review by Gaming Laboratories International, an independent testing and compliance organization. This review validated Jackpot.com’s method for ordering and processing lottery scratch tickets, ensuring the accuracy of the system for both the company and its users.
