One of the three major U.S. online lottery courier companies, Jackpot.com, announced Tuesday morning that has been approved as an “associate member” organization in the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).
Jackpot.com, launched in 2016, is a third-party app and site through which lottery players can purchase their tickets without leaving their homes. In joining NASPL, it becomes part of an association representing 53 lottery organizations across North America. NASPL advocates on matters of policy and helps the member organizations communicate and work together.
“It is an absolute honor to be joining the NASPL community,” said Jackpot.com CEO and co-founder Akshay Khanna in a press release announcing the membership approval. “As Jackpot.com continues to grow and expand its presence in additional member states, we could not be more excited to collaborate with regulators and other NASPL members to help sustain future opportunities for contributing to worthy causes and the drive towards responsible gaming.”
RG taken seriously
Responsible gaming is a major point of focus for Jackpot.com, which has iCap certification from the National Council on Problem Gambling. Jackpot.com encourages customers to set spending limits and limits on daily deposits among other RG-first protocols.
The Jackpot.com app is available for use in five states — Arkansas being the most recent to join a group that includes Texas, New York, Ohio, and Massachusetts.
The two other major U.S. lottery courier apps, Jackpocket and Lotto.com, are both NASPL member organizations as well. The heads of all three organizations proved extremely friendly competitors as they sat together on a panel at the SBC Summit North America this month.
“NASPL is pleased to have Jackpot.com as an associate member, and look forward to working with them throughout the year and beyond,” said Jake Coy, NASPL’s director of partner relations.
