Win Powerball And Mega Millions, You Can Own A Ton Of Weight Loss Drugs
Eli Lilly is stockpiling a new drug, and it’s worth the sum total of both weekend lottery jackpots

Well, you can’t spell “profit” without “orforglipron.”
Really. You can’t. Look for yourself. Almost all the letters are there. You’d have a “t,” but you wouldn’t have any of the other letters you’d need.
Anyway, “profit” is exactly what Eli Lilly is looking to do with their drug, orforglipron.
The facts: It’s a weight loss drug in pill form, it’s not even for sale yet, and Eli Lilly thinks it has a hit on its hands, so much so that it has stockpiled $550 million worth of the drug, according to Reuters.
This is “unusual” according to the report, but it’s clear Eli Lilly thinks it will fly off the shelves.
And while we here at Lottery Geeks do not have an opinion on obesity drugs, we do have an opinion on private citizens buying up the entirety of a drug manufacturer’s inventory for their own, potentially evil uses, and that opinion is: Yeah, fine, whatever.
Of course, to purchase $550 million worth of weight loss drugs, you’d first need $550 million.
To that end, just win the two national lotteries this weekend, and you’re good to go.
Powerball $320M, Mega Millions not far behind
Nobody won Wednesday’s Powerball drawing — the numbers were 24, 28, 40, 63, 65, and a red Powerball of 20 — and there weren’t even any million-dollar Match 5 winners.
With the rollover, Saturday night’s drawing is worth an estimated $320 million, with a cash value of $150.8 million.
Lottery Geeks estimates 10.4 million tickets were sold for Wednesday’s drawing.
The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday, meanwhile, is up to an estimated $233 million — a $110.5 million cash value — after nobody won Tuesday’s drawing.
The numbers on Tuesday — 14, 19, 47, 52, 70, and a gold Mega Ball of 6 — did yield a single Match 5 winner, with a player in Pennsylvania now a millionaire.
Lottery Geeks estimates 12 million tickets were sold for Tuesday’s drawing.
Tickets for either lottery cost $2, with most states offering the multiplier option — which impacts any prize won except the jackpot — for an additional $1.
Both Powerball and Mega Millions are legal in all states except Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah. Tickets for both draw games are also sold in Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In Puerto Rico, customers can buy tickets for Powerball, but not for Mega Millions.
