On Monday, Scientific Games announced that game provider Inspired Entertainment has become the latest addition to its SG Content Hub Partner Program. The company’s virtual sports portfolio will now be available alongside titles from SG Studios, 777 Gaming, EQL Games, and other partners, reaching Scientific Games’ iLottery customers across six continents.
“We’re pleased to welcome Inspired into our digital content distribution SG Content Hub Partner Program and further expand our relationship,” said Steve Hickson, VP of digital games for Scientific Games, in a press release. “Their roster of diverse and unique digital sports experiences will be of huge interest to our lottery customers.”
Digital sports experiences
Inspired Entertainment’s virtual sports portfolio includes such titles as V-Play Women’s Soccer™, V-Play NFLA Legends Football™, and V-Play U.S. Horses™. This content is available to play 24/7, and betting prices are set by Inspired’s Virtual Sports Software. Operating in over 30 global jurisdictions, Inspired provides virtual sports at more than 32,000 retail venues and numerous online platforms.
“We are thrilled to integrate our unique Virtual Sports Lottery games into the SG Content Hub Partner Program, which will provide us with exceptional opportunities to showcase our content to numerous lottery operators worldwide,” commented Brooks Pierce, president and CEO of Inspired.
Virtual sports games replicate real sports events such as horse racing, football, and cricket through computer-generated graphics. Like slots, outcomes are determined by Random Number Generator (RNG) technology.
The SG Content Hub
Scientific Games launched its SG Content Hub Partner Program in 2023 to help lotteries expand their iLottery content offerings. It provides over 30 iLottery customers with games from leading game studios worldwide. According to an October press release, the company plans to add games from a total of 20 partner studios by the end of 2024.
Founded in 1973, Scientific Games is headquartered in Las Vegas but also operates several offices across both the U.S. and U.K. While it rebranded its casino games division as Light & Wonder in March 2022, its lottery business continues under the Scientific Games name, which holds long-standing relationships with approximately 130 government and non-government lottery entities in more than 50 countries.
“We believe this collaboration will yield numerous benefits for all stakeholders, especially our lottery partners who support various good causes,” added Pierce.
