Winning $526.5 Million Saturday Powerball Ticket Sold In The Shadow Of Disneyland
What’s even more magical is the store at which the ticket was sold and which two numbers came up
2 min

It’s a 2½ mile drive from the 7-Eleven on North Euclid Street in Anaheim, California, to the world-famous Disneyland.
Which means whoever bought the winning $526.5 million Powerball ticket at that 7-Eleven for this past Saturday night’s drawing is certainly set up to — wait for it — live happily ever after.
And get this: The first two winning numbers were 7 and 11. Yep, the winning numbers were 7, 11, 21, 53, and 61, along with the red Powerball of 2. Can’t make this stuff up.
The cash value of the prize, should the winner elect to take the lump sum, is at $243.8 million.
In addition to the big winner, there were over 928,000 winning tickets of one stripe or another, including five players who matched all five white balls for a million-dollar prize. Two of those tickets were sold in Georgia, and the other three in Ohio, Oregon, and Texas.
Lottery Geeks estimates over 23 million tickets were sold for Saturday’s drawing. This was the 29th drawing since the last Powerball winner was minted in Oregon back on Jan. 17.
Monday night’s drawing will reset to $20 million, with a cash value of $9.3 million.
Mega one step ahead
Tuesday night’s Mega Millions jackpot is at an estimated $29 million (cash value of $13.3 million) after nobody won the $20 million prize Friday night.
Those Friday numbers were 2, 9, 31, 60, 63, and a gold Mega Ball of 23.
But one lucky duck down in Texas not only matched all five white balls, they also bought the Megaplier, which came in at a whopping 5x, making that prize worth a cool $5 million.
Lottery Geeks estimates 8.4 million tickets were sold for Friday’s drawing.
Tickets for either lottery cost $2 (for now), with most states offering the multiplier option — which impacts any prize won except the jackpot — for an additional $1.
Both Powerball and Mega Millions are legal in all states except Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah. Tickets for both draw games are also sold in Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In Puerto Rico, customers can buy tickets for Powerball, but not for Mega Millions.
